My Lancashire (mylancs.uk) is my personal blog, where I share my accounts and experiences of exploring the local area of Old Lancashire. I’m a qualified engineer, currently working with IT, who developed a passion for local history in recent years. I’ve set out to document as much of it as I can through my own travels and research.
The blog covers a wide range of topics including canals and rivers, nature and the outdoors, historic buildings, street art, and towns and cities across the region. I also dig into old newspaper archives, historical records, and listed buildings to bring lesser-known stories to life — from 17th-century gravestones and Victorian foot races to farmhouse ruins uncovered by builders.
