At the Bull Inn, Preston, on Wednesday the Twenty-seventh Day of February Inst. at Six o’Clock in the Afternoon, on such Conditions as will be then produced,

Cuerdale Lodge was large property and estate that was once situated at the top of what we now know as Chruch Brow, in Walton le Dale, which leads onto Cuerdale Lane. In some cases, it was referred to as Walton Lodge or Calrow Hall. The property was originally created by Mr. Richard Calrow. It is said that the later mansion of the Calrows at Walton Lodge was built partially of the bricks brought from the demolished Mosney works.
In the more detailed advert, from the Leeds Intelligencer newspaper, it is not clear if Robert Worthington of Cuerdale-Lodge is the estate owner at the time of the letting or a tenant. There is only a few months between the two adverts, so I presume that they are for the same letting and not two consecutive ones.
