Bamber Bridge in Bloom is a volunteer-led community group working to make Bamber Bridge a greener, cleaner and more welcoming place.
The group looks after planters, green spaces and small public areas around the village, with local volunteers giving their time to planting, maintenance and general improvements. It also incorporates Brig’s Litter Team, bringing together environmental improvement and community litter-picking.
The group is active throughout the year, with regular organised litter picks and other community activities. In August 2026, for example, Bamber Bridge in Bloom joined with the South Ribble Natural History Group and Friends of Withy Grove Park for a community Nature Day.
Bamber Bridge in Bloom is a constituted, but not incorporated, community organisation, run entirely by volunteers. It is not a registered charity, and its work is supported by local donations and fundraising.
The group is listed by South Ribble Borough Council among its local gardening and planting groups, alongside other community environmental organisations.
Bamber Bridge in Bloom shows what can be achieved when local people get together to look after the place where they live. Its work is not just about making the village look better, but about encouraging community pride, volunteering, nature and care for the local environment.
