Lot 1.-20 Alder and 10 Birch, cut down and lying on Lodge Farm, near King’s Hill.,
Lot 2.-31 Alder and 3 Birch, numbered 2 to 85, growing near Spring Gardens, Hoghton Bottoms.
Lot 3.-18 Alder and 1 Birch, numbered 1 to 19.
Lot 4-14 Poplar, numbered 1 to 14.
The last two lots-are growing in Hoghton Bottoms.
Lot 5.-63 Alder and 13 Birch, numbered 1 to 76, and 22 marked with a cross.
The above lot starts in Thomas Thornley’s Lane, leading down the River Darwen to Alum Brook,

The above lot is growing in Bullock’s Brow, near Samlesbury Mill.
The Timber in Hoghton is growing about one mile from the Hoghton Railway Station.

The above four lots begin at the top of Colt House Wood, leading downwards.
Lot 26.-4 Oak and 2 Ash, numbered 1 to 6, in Higher Park.
Lot 27.-11 Oak, 16 Ash, and 1 Elm, numbered 1 to 28.
Lot 28.-12 Alder, numbered 1 to 12.
These two lots are standing at the bottom of the Paddock, beginning at Carr Wood.
Lot 29.-63 Thorn and Crabtree, marked with a cross. This lot is growing in Ice House & Colt House Woods. N.B. The Timber in Walton-le-Dale is growing about half-a-mile from the Preston Junction on the East Lancashire Railway, and about one mile from the Bamber Bridge Station on the East Lancashire Railway

The above Timber is well grown, and of very large dimensions, and is consequently worthy the particular attention of shipwrights, joiners, and others, requiring Wood of a good quality.-John Fairclough, Lodge Farm, Hoghton, will show lot 1; James Halstead, Spring Gardens, Hoghton, will show lots 2 to 7; John Haydock, Bolton-hall, will show lots 8 to 18; Henry Fowler, game-keeper, or James Pearson, jun., Unicorn Inn, will show the Timber in Walton-le-Dale. For further particulars as to the whole of the lots apply to JAMES WALMSLEY, Wood Bailiff, Hoghton, or to Mr. C. BISKET, Land Agent, Preston. The first and last of each lot will be marked with white paint.
