Library
Bamber Bridge Library is the nearest for residents of Walton le Dale.
Membership is free and entitles the member to use of any Lancashire Library.
The Library is currently running two free computer courses in conjunction with Lancashire College on Saturday afternoons.

This is a semi-natural ancient woodland, which is run as a community project. Dog Kennel Wood consists of mainly broad-leaved Woodland. There is parking in the nearby area. |
Walton le Dale Recreation Society
The Walton le Dale Recreation Society ( Reg. Charity No: 521341) is a project to make Walton le Dale recreation ground a focal point for the village community.

Facilities at Cuerden Valley Park include a Visitor Centre at The Barn - Berkeley
Drive, Picnic Area , River Lostock, Parkland, agricultural land, Woodlands, Lake/reservoir,
Victorian Pinetum/American Garden & Walled Orchard, Ruins of Lower Kem Mill
Bleach & Dye Works, Wildlife including woodpeckers, kingfishers, great crested
newts and dragonflies, Wildflower meadows, bluebell woods and many other plants.
There is a Café/Restaurant on site at the Sue Ryder Home in Cuerden Hall.
